Welcome to Young Journalism!

It is our pleasure to welcome you on Young Journalism, a website we’ve created in order to give young journalists a space where they can publish their articles, interviews, clips, podcasts or photostories.

We are Denisa Nica and Carmen Păun and we know each other since college. We fast became best friends and then, after the first year of university, we wanted to do more for journalism than just go to classes or get an early job. So we founded ASJC – Youthpress Romania, a youth media NGO which soon became part of European Youth Press.

We are, at the moment, based in Brussels. Our love for this amazing city began in 2007, when Denisa did her Erasmus stage there in Communication Applliqué at IHECS Bruxelles. In 2008 Carmen started a masters course on European institutions and now, in 2009, faith has brought us back together in the capital of Europe.

Each day of our lives we see things around us in a different way. It’s a trained, complex and angle oriented journalist way in which we approach whatever happens to us. We meet amazing people and visit extraordinary places, living everyday a small adventure. So we write about all of that, because we don’t want the ideas to get lost. And now we’ve built this website where our articles will be published together with pictures and, as much as possible, with embeded videos.

This is why we invite you, young journalists or simple young people across the world, to share your stories with us. Attended an amazing event? Took a great series of pictures? Got the chance to speak to an important person and written down an interview? No matter what piece of journalistic work you’ve produced, don’t hesitate to submit it to us. You’ll have the chance to create your own portofolio of published articles which you can use for the future and, in the same time, share your story with the whole wide world.
